END OF YEAR EXAMINATIONS

Unit 3 & 4 VCE End Of Year Examinations

End of Year VCE examinations commence on Wednesday 26 October and conclude on Wednesday November 16.

 

Students are reminded of the following:

Examinations are compulsory for all students undertaking a scored Unit 3/4 subject. Examinations will be held in the College Hall or Runnals House and will be supervised by external supervisors.

Students will be required to check the seating plan, which will be located outside the College Hall, for each examination session.

Students must wear correct school uniform to all examinations and must produce photo ID before entering the examination room.

 

EMERGENCIES

In the event of an emergency on the day of the examination please contact the school as soon as possible to explain reasons for lateness or non-attendance. Please note that all examination decisions will be made by VCAA based on evidence provided by the school and candidate.

In all cases it is advisable to attend and examination and then submit an application for special consideration after sitting the exam.

 

TRANSPORT

Students are to find their own way to and from the College during the examination period. Students should be at school no later than 30 minutes prior to their scheduled examination.

 

Examination Rules / Procedures

  • VCAA Examination and College rules apply for the examinations.
  • Students are to be in full school uniform (summer). Year 12 College T-shirt is acceptable. No student will be permitted on the College grounds if not in the correct College uniform.
  • No mobile phones or electronic equipment in the examination room.
  • No pencil cases in the examination room. Students may use a clear plastic pocket.
  • Clear water bottles (no labels) are permitted.
  • Students MUST have photo id to enter the room. It is important to bring your student card to the examination.
  • Students should be in the Study Hall, the Library or on the Green between examinations.

 

2016 VCE Examination Timetable

  • Students should check the starting time of each examination and arrive at least 30 minutes earlier, and be familiar with rules about late admission to examinations.
  • The start time for the afternoon session on Thursday 27 October, Friday 28 October, Tuesday 8 November and Wednesday 9 November – when only two sessions are scheduled – is 2.00pm.
  • The start time for the afternoon session on all other days when three sessions are scheduled is 3.00pm.
  • The reading period is included in the times shown in the timetable. Each examination commences with a 15-minute reading period unless otherwise specified.
  • All written responses must be in English, unless otherwise instructed in the question book for that particular examination.
  • If students are presenting for performance examinations, Languages examinations oral component or the Extended Investigation oral presentation they will be issued with individual examination advice slips. Photo identification and examination advice slips must be presented for entry to their assessment. In some cases, students in regional and rural areas may be required to attend venues in Melbourne.
  • The following written examinations have an audio component: Music Style and Composition, Music Performance, VET Music Technical Production and all Languages except Indigenous Languages of Victoria, Classical Greek, Classical Hebrew and Latin.
