Relationship & Reflection Day

On 16th September 2016, the students of the College marked the end of term three by participating in two events.

For the year 11s of the College, RealTalk Australia ran a program focussing on relationships and personal identity. The men’s session was lead first by Paul Ninnes and Justine Cumbo whilst the women’s session was lead by Emma Ninnes and Gerard Trolove. The day was split into three sessions, with each session focussing on a different theme. From sexual health and making good choices to relationships and body image, the idea of treating each other with respect resonated throughout the day. Students participated in all the activities throughout the day and were praised by the presenters for the way they interacted with each other.

For the Year 12s of the College, this day was an opportunity to reflect on their journey at Catholic Regional College Sydenham. Each student was asked to consider where they had come from, where they were at present and what they looked forward to in the future. Each Cluster celebrated who they were and shared lunch as every student prepared for what lay ahead. Many fun stories and photos were shared as well as the opportunity to complete their cross, reflective on their journey over the past two years. It was a memorable day and a wonderful way to end the term.
