Exhibition

Catholic Regional College Sydenham has a rich tradition of student work and achievement. As a community, we recognize these achievements regularly. Sydfest is our annual celebration of excellence in performance, art and practical work across the Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Technology and Vocational Training Areas. In an evening filled with an art gallery and pop-up food truck Manna and catering by the College’s food services, the night begins at 6pm before proceedings start at 7pm. The night will include awards for best practical work, student performances and the opportunity to formally recognise the sports men and women who represent the College at SACCSS events throughout the year. This is also an opportunity for students to hear from successful members from these fields. This year, the key speaker is Olympic Taekwondo gold medalist Lauren Burns. Lauren was 12 times Australian Champion and had achieved a string of international titles including numerous medals at world championship level, as well as winning Australia’s first Olympic gold in Taekwondo.

We are also honoured to be inducting Kevin Muscat into the Sports Hall of fame. Kevin has played soccer both nationally and internationally, also representing Australia on a number of occasions. Kevin is currently coaching A-League team Melbourne Victory.

We are looking forward to sharing the night with the wider College community and sharing our students’ achievements from 2016.

SYDFEST takes place on Wednesday October 19th. Exhibition and food from 6pm with the official proceedings from 7pm. Free Entry.
