Principal's Report

We are thrilled to have reached the long-awaited milestone of welcoming students back onsite and now even sooner than expected! All onsite schooling will now commence full time from Monday 1 November and I encourage you to read the information posted on Compass today.

Last Friday we welcomed Year 7 and Year 10 students back as part of the staggered return. The smiling eyes as they walked into school created a positive buzz throughout the day.  There was a bit of trepidation from some students as they started the day but as they began connecting with peers and teachers that feeling seemed to slip away. It was wonderful to feel the heart of the school return with student laughter and learning. The Year 7s had the school to themselves today and were certainly feeling comfortable back in the learning spaces. I look forward to welcoming the Year 8 and 9 students back tomorrow.

Curriculum Day - New date TBC

Once again, the change in dates for the return to onsite schooling means that we need to change the date of our Curriculum Day (previously scheduled for Monday 1 November). We will confirm the new date for our final Curriculum Day for 2021 once it has been approved by School Council.

Steve is looking forward joining us next week and to meeting everyone in our college community.

Stage 2 Building Update

The compressors for the air conditioning units were successfully lifted on to the top of the Learning Hub plant store via helicopter. Take a look at the footage below - it's not every day that you see a helicopter hovering over a school!

Thank you again for your ongoing support and we very much look forward to welcoming our students back to onsite learning full time.
