12 VCD SAT Final Presentations

Year 10 Scientific Illustrations

Year 10 Visual Art students have been creating an illustration for scientific purposes.

They have built their knowledge and skills in this field of study by studying a scientific illustrator of their choice, including the techniques used and then creating a scientific drawing of a chosen bug using watercolour and fine liner.

9 VCD Freehand Lettering

Students researched inspirational quotes and then brainstormed possible ways that the quote could be written in a creative manner using media and materials. Type conventions were addressed such as baselines, x-height and kerning.

8 VCD Packaging Design

Students had to design the packaging for a new type of lolly for the company Lolly Co. They could either trace from an existing box or use a template provided. Students had to identify what important information to have on their packaging, the name of the new lolly and what it would look like.
