Competition Winner

Winner of Tax Super and You Competition 2021

Every year the Australian Tax Office (ATO) runs a competition called TAX SUPER AND YOU across all the states to promote the importance of Tax and Super in the community.

Primary and High school students across Australia who are creative geniuses can participate in this competition in which they have to show their creativity for highlighting the value of Tax and Super in the community either by writing a poem or by making a video or any other form of creative work.

The 2021 Tax, Super + You competition second prize winner is Alma-Mia from 9C! As a second prize winner, she has received $400 plus $400 for our school.

In the Junior category Award-Alma-Mia made a very creative video to highlight the value of Tax and Super. Her video was an amazing piece of artwork and won second prize. Watch her video below:

One of the Australian Taxation Office judges, Effie Zahos, works with the Today show on channel nine. They would like to talk to Alma-Mia about being part of a segment on the Today show on Friday 29 October. She and some of the other winners of the competition will be part of a fun Q&A session about tax and super.

Huge congratulations again to Alma-Mia for participating in the Tax, Super + You competition in 2021! We are very proud of her effort, especially in remote learning. In addition, she was first prize winner in 2019.
