Covid 19 Information

Covid in children put out by the Royal Children’s Hospital:

Are you worried about your child getting COVID-19? Is Delta worse than the other variants? Should I vaccinate my child when it’s available? We answered these questions and more in a special Facebook live video with our panel of experts from the RCH campus, including Murdoch Children’s Research Institute, on Friday 10th September, 2021. Watch the replay here.

If your child is unwell, even if symptoms are very mild, they should stay home. They should not attend school until they have recovered. If your child has symptoms of COVID-19 or of cold and flu-like illness, even if they are very mild, see your doctor or go to a respiratory testing clinic. Your child can then be assessed and tested for the virus that causes COVID-19. Your child will have to stay home while waiting for the result of their test. You must follow the advice of your doctor or testing clinic.
