Instrumental Performances

Two instrumental music concerts were held in the past fortnight. For a number of these students, it was their first time performing in a concert of this type. Some of our strings players who have been learning with Ms Ally Broddle presented a wonderful lunchtime concert over Zoom. The students involved were: Aniyah M (Prep R), Ava G (1R) Raissa L (1A), Alejandra C (2A), Eliana K (4A) and Roman P (5A).

Students who undertake lessons with Ms Ebony McCarthy presented a highly entertaining concert in voice and piano. We congratulate Aaliyah C (4A), Cadence C (9G), Laila E (5A), Harper H (3A), Jessica M (4A) and Scarlett P (3A).

VCE Stagecraft Performance Night

Our VCE Theatre Studies performance night was streamed out on Thursday 9 September. The three students in the Year 12 class each presented an in-progress performance of their monologue. They now have a further four weeks to refine their work before presenting it to the VCAA Assessment Panel in the first week of Term 4. We wish Sean B, Isabelle D and Lewis M the best of luck for their performance exam.

VET Music Industry Night

Our VET Music Industry Night was presented online on Wednesday night. The seven students studying VCE/VET Music are required to each prepare a 20-minute performance in their chosen style/repertoire. Only some of their work could be shown in this stream but we had everything from heavy metal guitar to classical piano and some voice and original compositions to boot. We congratulate our Year 12 Music class; Sha’uri L, Lewis M, Isabelle D, Sarah K, Mathias S, Emanuel M, Jacob M, and their teacher, Mr Glen Impey.
