Last Day Friday

We will be having an Assembly on Friday the 31st of March. Students will be receiving their badges and the Easter raffle will be drawn. The assembly will start at 1:45pm before a 2:30pm dismissal.

Young Leaders IMAGINATION

Yesterday I had the pleasure of attending the Young Leaders conference with our school and vice-captains, along with 4000 other students from around Victoria. The theme of the conference was Together we can. The speakers all talked about not only their leadership journeys, also all of the people who have helped them and supported them. Emphasising that leaders do not have to do it on their own. It was a great day of learning and our leaders would like to share their reflections on the day.

National Young Leaders Day!

National Young Leaders day is a great opportunity for young leaders to get a fantastic start to their journey. Jenna, Nick, Abbey, Sam and Mrs O’Brien were lucky enough to attend this special event.

For the beginning of the conference a person who represented the Wurundjuri people came out onto the stage. He played the Didgeridoo to over 4,000 people when he finished playing all of the people in the crowd were cheering loudly.

Scott Tweedie and Jemma Knight

The two main hosts for the day were Scott Tweedie who hosted Splat a lot, the Loop and prank patrol.

Jemma Knight she hosted shows in New Zealand and flew over to Australia to host this special event.

SPEAKERS

The first speaker was Sam Skinner who runs a program called Halogen. Followed by Judith Graley who is State Education Secretary minister., Anirudh who won the first great Australian spelling bee, Jade Hamiester who was the youngest person ever to ski across north pole at the age of 14 and Matt Cosgrove who writes books about epic fall fairy tales he guarantees no sloppy kisses, no handsome princes and no happy endings. The last but not the least speaker was Josh who is in the top 100 to go to Mars and never come BACK!!!!!

Abbey: I think it was a very good experience I would do it again if I could. One thing I learnt was to speak up and not always follow people

Jenna: I think that it was a fun and interesting experience. I learnt a lot of interesting things on Monday the 27TH of March.

Nick: I like how all the speakers helped me learn something new I recommend this to every school in Victoria. It really helped everyone there to become a better leader. My favourite speaker was Josh because he gives himself a big challenge and is very brave, and a great explorer.

Sam: I really enjoyed the national young leader’s day because we got to do fun activities and dance. My favourite speaker was Jade Hamister because she is only young and she has travelled to north pole by skis and that inspires me.

School Council

Wednesday night is our school council Annual General Meeting where the school's Annual Report is tabled. This will later be published on our school website for our community to view.
