Middle Years

Coffee and Croissants with the Head of Middle Years

On Monday 22 July, Julia Winter-Cooke, Head of Middle Years, is hosting a Year 7 and 8 parent breakfast to talk about Positive Education.

At College, our vision is simple – to increase the wellbeing of our students and enable them to flourish as capable and confident young people. In this world where technology invades our daily routines and students are busier than ever, it is important to teach Positive Education techniques that emphasise individual strengths, personal motivations and resilience.

We are aligned to the Institute of Positive Education and their training covers eight wellbeing science topics in-depth: Character Strengths; Mindset; Positivity; Flow; Resilience; Gratitude; Relationships; and Purpose.

Join me for a coffee and croissant, and learn about your own character strengths.

  • Date: Monday 22 July
  • Time: 8.15 – 9am
  • Location: myPEC Da Vinci room

Please RSVP to me at jwintercooke@hamiltoncollege.vic.edu.au before the weekend. Once you register, you will get an email back with a short survey to complete ahead of the breakfast meeting. It is always a fun process finding out your personal strengths!
