Year 7 Tennis
Last week, the Wantirna College girls’ tennis team went to the District Competition.
Angel, Nuam Pi, Teegan, Katarina and myself walked down to Wantirna Tennis Club to play.
Overall, we drew several, lost a couple and won two. We ended up having the same amount of points as another team, so we went into a tie breaker. Unfortunately, the Wantirna Girls team lost 3 to 1 in the tie breaker, so we didn’t end up going through to the next round. We all had a good day and can’t wait until next time!

Year 8 Tennis
On Tuesday the 19th of March, we had tennis at Wantirna Tennis Club. When we got there we were one of the first teams to get to the club. The day started off warm then ended up hotter later in the day. I played two games, lost one and then won one against Fairhills and the final score was 4-0. We had fun playing the games even though the boys team lost most of their games. Rowville won most of their games so they had to play the final. The day ended when we walked back to school and got Zooper Doopers, it was great everyone had fun and I wish I could do it again.

Year 8 Baseball
A highlight this year for me, was playing baseball for the school. Although some of us had never played baseball before, it was going to be interesting to see how we would go. We had one game against Fairhills, they were in the same boat as us, not having many kids who had actually played baseball. As the game went on we seemed to play even better, and more as a team. This helped us get a comfortable win with the end score being 24-7. This meant we were through to the next round in Term 4.

Intermediate Boys Baseball
On Tuesday the 12th of March, the Wantirna College Intermediate Boys Baseball team went out to Gilbert Park Baseball ground to compete against Upwey High School in the Knox Division Level. The Boys played an awesome game and competed outstandingly with college spirit, smashing Upwey 24-2. Even though we only got to play one game the boys certainly put everything that they had into the game. Everyone was able to make an impact on the game in some way which just goes to show our team work and dedication. After the game we had a solid defensive training session in order to ready the boys for EMR. We are all eager to play in the next round and can't wait to continue representing our school.
