Year Adviser Reports

Year 8 Report
In week 1, I had the pleasure to see the YAP Celebration Evening. Year 8 performed an amazing range of activities to an enthusiastic audience! The displays that were around the MPC were also of a really high standard and showcased the excellent work that year 8 are doing at the moment.
We have also had the Stage 4 into Stage 5 Subject Selection Evening in the school library. Parents and students who came long were treated to a very informative evening where Head Teachers and classroom teachers presented information about their elective subjects in Stage 5. Well done to all those students who have promptly completed their electives online!

Year 10 Report
I would like to welcome our new Year 10 students who have joined us this term. We are very excited to welcome Brayden, Christian, Hannah, Amie and Nataly to our year group and hope that your start at Henry Kendall High School is enjoyable and full of new opportunities.
Some of our Year 10 students ventured to Thredbo during week 4 to try their hand at skiing and snowboarding. The students put in an exceptional effort for the three days and showed considerable improvements over the duration of the trip. I would like to congratulate those students who attended on their excellent behavior and the determination that they demonstrated.
Year 10 will shortly be voting for their new SRC representatives. I would like to congratulate all of the students who have applied to be in the running for the role. There are some strong contenders for the position and am confident in the abilities of all our candidates. Looking ahead to the remainder of Term 3, I would like to strongly encourage all of Year 10 to focus on their goals that they have set for themselves for Semester Two.
