Dear Families,

 

This is to confirm that the Student Free Day on Monday 4th of November - All Day OSHC Care will go ahead

Bookings are still open for a limited number of spaces and can be made through QK Enrol or My Family Lounge App. The session will run from 7:30am to 6pm, and the cost will be $75 for the day (eligible for CCS) and will include all food, snacks and activities

As a guide if you are eligible for CCS:

If your CCS is 85% - out pocket costs would be approx. 11.25

If your CCS is 50% - out pocket costs would be $37.5

If your CCS is 20% - out pocket costs would be approx. $60

Scarecrow Construction:

With Halloween fast approaching students have been working on creating a scarecrow as part of the scry decoration a OSHC. Here some pictures of this process:

               

Cooking Club: Pizza

Students had a new challenge this week, especially for our Juniors: Reading and follow instructions on how to make the perfect dough for pizza! Students used their numeracy skills to measure their ingredients with different size of cups.

 

 

 

Veggie Garden:

The students learned how to plant germinating pea seeds.

 

Sewing Club:

Well… everyone loves the swing club and more little people are developing great sewing skills!!! if you have any spare fabric and/or sewing materials, we will appreciate any kind of donations.

Planks mania!

 

One of the most popular activities in OSHC is being creative using planks to build amazing constructions. Students demonstrate to work collaboratively by using problem solving skills, respectful manners and listening to each others.

Important Notes and Reminders

 

Melbourne Cup – Public Holiday:

Just a reminder that OSHC will be closed on Tuesday 5th of November. Please be aware that all permanent and casual bookings will be cancelled for the day and no fee charges will be applied.

 

SunSmart Policy: From September 1 until April 30, all students are required to have their hats and encouraged to wear sunscreen. At this stage we are checking the UV daily, and it is moderate (Level 3) between 10:30am – 2pm.

 

Excursions in Term 4

Just a reminder that all the excursions are scheduled on Thursdays from 3:45-4:45/5:00pm for the students grade4-6. If your child wish to participate please complete a permission form.

 

Fabric and sewing material Donations: if you have any spare fabric and/or sewing materials, we will appreciate any kind of donations.
