It is good to give thanks!

Giving thanks.....

There is just something about stopping to reflect on life and to give thanks.  Whether that be to God the creator of all things good, a neighbour who puts out your bins, a friend who shouts you a coffee or a stranger who opens a door with a smile.

It doesn't talk long when you open up the word of God, the Bible to see encouragements or exhortations of gratitude.

'I thank my God every time I think of you!'  Philippians 1:3

'Give thanks to the Lord for he is good.' Psalm 107:2

'Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Jesus Christ.' 1 Thessalonians 5:18

I thought it fitting and right to give thanks for a few things that have been happening at Curiosity over the past 6 weeks.

Firstly, I thank God for an amazing community of parents who have gifted us with their treasured children.  We adore spending time with your children, getting to know their unique personalities and tapping into their gifts and talents.  Thank you for your trust, your words of encouragement and support as we endeavour to offer the best learning environment for each child to flourish within.

Secondly, the response to need.  Thank you to the group of families who came along and helped us move tonnes of mulch and replace it with some fabulous looking bark.  I am sure you would agree that it looks wonderful.

Thirdly, I wish to thank one of our teachers Mrs Shin-Yie Chew who has gifted us with her expertise, love and kindness over the past 6 weeks.  Mrs Chew has come each day with a heart to come alongside, listen and encourage children which is evident in the way that she has built special bonds with many of our friends.  Unfortunately, Mrs Chew has decided to move on from our learning community and take some time with her family before finding the 'right fit' for her as an educator.  We wish Mrs Chew all the best as she embarks on this next professional journey knowing that God is good and he has great plans for her future.  We would ask that you share this information with your child in preparation for two new educators to join us next week.

Finally I give thanks for the provision of two new qualified teachers who will be joining us for the rest of this term.  Mrs Michelle Filmer will be joining us Tuesday and Wednesdays and Mrs Janine Panagiotou will be joining us Mon, Thursday and Fridays.  Both these teachers have had extensive experience within the ELC and Junior Primary fields of education so we look forward to having them add value to our team.

I thank you for your support as we welcome our two new team members.  Please feel free to introduce yourselves to them.  I will be sure to introduce them to you via our next iNewsletter and share their profiles with you.

Blessings to you and your families for another great week!
