What happened in November

What have we been up to this month?

This month has been super jam packed. We continued our mini project on Space. We have a new space area, books, puzzles and even a real telescope! It has been so great to watch the children express wonder and interest in their environments. The children are curious and enthusiastic participants in their learning.

It is lovely to see the children using play to investigate, imagine and explore ideas. The children have followed and extended their own interests about space with great energy. 

We are Sun Smart

We have re introduced the importance of being sun smart. To help this, we have added a sun smart station and encourage children to wear hats, sunscreen and sunnies to Kindy. The children have been doing amazing at this! 

End of year celebrations 

In preparation for our end of year activities we have been learning a new song and dance to perform at our Christmas concert. The children have done so well and we are so proud of them!

We have also started Christmas craft and learning about different celebrations in our world and the importance of giving and being respectful. As educators we have engaged children in discussions about books and other texts that promote consideration of diverse perspectives in this holiday time. 

Upcoming events 

YMCA Centre Christmas Party DEC 11th (6.00-7:30 pm)

Our whole centre will be celebrating 2019 together in our Long Day yard. Come along and watch our class perform our Christmas song!

Movie day DEC 17th 

Our last day with the children we will be celebrating with watching a movie and wearing our P.J's to Kindy

To say thank you for such a great year our sessional-3-year old parents and children are welcome to come in and spend the morning with us.
