Daffodil Room

What happened in November?
Dear Parents,
As it is coming to the end of the year we are proud to say that all our children demonstrate well developed social and emotional skills as this is vital for them as they prepare for kinder and school. Children are now able to self-regulate their emotions like frustration and excitement. They are using words to express themselves and engage in interesting reciprocal verbal interactions with peers and educators (adults).
This month our focus was on discovering and learning through our environment which is considered as the third teacher. As part of this philosophy we did a week of outdoor exploration where the children were encouraged to explore the outdoor environment and what things can be found around us.
We celebrated Melbourne cup by making our own fascinators, for Jayantha’s birthday we made her a special birthday cake and practising our Christmas items and doing Christmas craft.
We have sent out a notification on QK Journeys about the type of costume we want for the concert. Please dress your child in singlet, thongs and shorts, weather permitting.
Please feel free to talk to us if there are any questions.
Thank you and happy festive season……
Priya, Dimple and Jayantha.
