What happened in November

Rainbow Room

November

Letters and numbers

Rainbow room has been very busy with our letters. Each week the children make a list of words that start with our letter to help explore their letter recognition and help the children associate letters to words. We have extended our number knowledge and can know count to 20, count dots to twenty and with support for the larger numbers match dots to numerals and worded numbers.

This month we celebrated Crazy Hair Day and Melbourne Cup.

Mini Monsters

The children loved having Coach Riley come each week. This month we have been working on our drumsticks and counting each other in with a drum solo.

Class project

Rainbow Room is working on Graduation as our class project. We are practicing our song for graduation and one for our Christmas party each day. The children have gotten so good with both that we are now practicing with our props. If any parents would like to practice at home the lyrics to our graduation song can be found on QK as a daily reflection called Kinder Graduation.

Community Garden

This month the center opened our garden for the children to all use to grow fruits, vegetables, and herbs.  Rainbow Room was very lucky to get to plant the produce as a team. We can’t wait to watch them grow.
