Achieving Excellence Together”
I hope everyone is safe and healthy and congratulations on a great term of learning.
This is certainly not how we wanted to finish term 3 but here we are again and I want to
thank all students who have been connecting on TEAMS through wellbeing check-ins each morning and the staggered Masterclasses.
Congratulations on the great learning conducted online this term. I want to take this moment to celebrate the great learning this term at each year level. I am so very proud of what you have all achieved during another round of Remote and Flexible Learning.
PREPS
If you have a child in Kinder and/or five years old it's time to enrol them for school in 2022. Please contact the office or download an enrolment pack from our website.
This term we say goodbye to Miss. Paloma. She is moving to the Northern Territory to work in remote school communities. We wish her all the best on this new adventure and thank her for her contribution to our school and its community.
Replacing Miss. Paloma in Grade 2A is Mrs. Awada. We welcome her to the Roxy Park PS family.
Hi, my name is Sylvana and I am excited to be joining Roxburgh Park Primary School and the community. This is my fourth year of teaching.
I have four children who my husband of 22 years and I are so proud of. I am a soccer girl. My husband and I use to play soccer and are very passionate about it. Our family are huge Melbourne Victory fans! My younger two children 16 and 10 follow in our footsteps, playing soccer for Moreland Zebras Juventus and are very dedicated. My oldest who is 21 is a fashion designer and my second child who is 20, is currently studying criminology. We are a very active family. Love the outdoors especially the beach in the summer time.
My belief is that students learn and develop best when they are empowered as active agents in their own learning. I am looking forward to new and exciting adventures in working together with you as partners in your child’s growth and development.
Last week we welcomed Deborah Jones, our new business manager.
Deb has worked in the education sector in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne for the past 17 years. During that time she has worked in both Primary and Secondary Schools. This has given Deb a well-rounded understanding of the administrative and financial needs within the school environment and responsibilities expected by the Department of Education and Training.
Deb is committed to the concept of collaboration, with an emphasis on partnerships with families, external providers and creating strong links with the wider community. This combination builds great relationships with all the stakeholders and provides the best opportunity for student learning outcomes.
I would also like to introduce two new Education support teachers. Please meet Vera and Aleyna.
