Team Leader's Message
Its hard to believe that we are nearly at the end of 2021, but what a year it has been. All of our Year 12 students returned to school at the start of the term enthusiastic to complete their VCAL Learning Outcomes. Week 3 saw the return of our Year 11 students who also returned with positivity and enthusiasm. Now as we readjust to life close to normal students are completing their VET programs and enjoying some freedoms being able to move about once again and go on experiences in the community.
With fingers crossed we didn’t cancel our camp in the feint hope that restrictions might ease and we are delighted to be making our final preparations for a Year 12 experience to remember on the Mornington Peninsula in 2 weeks. After that our wonderful Year 12 students have only one more week before their final momentous graduation on Thursday the 2nd of December in our School Gym. The entire event will be live streamed from 11:15. Students are allowed to have 2 guests, who must be fully vaccinated, at the graduation which will be run over 2 sessions during the day at either 11am or 1:15pm. Invitations will come home in the next few days. Guests need to ensure that they stick to scheduled times as we want everyone to have a memorable day and have the chance to see their child graduate. The live streamed event will be available for viewing for a limited time after the conclusion to allow important members of students lives to witness the event whilst we remain within Covid safe guidelines.
Its been a fantastic year, despite all the interruptions, and the Year 11 and 12 staff couldn’t be prouder of the way our students have soldiered on through all the disruptions with a maturity that needs to be commented on. They remained positive through it all and should enjoy the rewards their hard work has brought.
