Under the Spotlight

Gail Marklew (Education Support)

1. I have 2 grown up daughters and 6 grandchildren who call me Granny. Next month I’ll become a Great Granny and I’m so excited.
2. I love sport and as a teenager did competitive swimming at the Old Olympic pool in Melbourne. Throughout my life I also played basketball, tennis, squash, badminton, golf and while playing netball in my 40’s ruptured my Achilles!!
3. My favourite footy team is Richmond. 
4. I’ve lived in N.S.W., W.A. and Victoria and have visited all Australian States and Territories.
5. I’ve been lucky enough to have travelled extensively overseas. On one of our trips, my husband and I bought a motorhome and travelled throughout the U.S. and Canada for 12 months. An incredible experience.
6. I began my working life as a hairdresser in my teens. Since then I have had many jobs including a Medical Secretary/Audio typist, Teaching Assistant at a Specialist School and finally as an Integration Aide here at our wonderful school. My favourite work has to be being in a school environment working with kids. I absolutely love it.
