Happy Holidays

Enjoy the holiday time with your family and friends during the break. The holidays provide a chance to enjoy the start of the most beautiful Spring weather. Whatever you do, stay safe. I look forward to seeing you again in Term Four.

Last day of term

The last day of term is Friday 17 September. School will finish at 1.30pm. Please make sure you are here to collect your child/ren at 1.30pm. P – 2 will exit via the front gate near Library, whilst 3 – 6 will exit via the front door in the Admin area.

Have a great holiday everyone. Stay warm. See you on Monday October the 4th, back at school to share all the holiday stories. We all hope to be back onsite. Further information about this will be communicated with you as it comes to hand.

Planning for 2022

This time of year, we begin to plan for the 2022 school year. If you have any requests related to your child's wellbeing, please email them to echuca.twin.rivers.ps@edumail.vic.gov.au Please note we do not take individual requests for teachers.

We understand that at times families may move for a range of reasons. If you think you may not be attending ETRS next year, please email us as this will help support us with planning for 2022.

COVID Safe Restrictions / Changes

As we await the next announcement by The DET and the Premier in regard to Remote and Flexible Learning for Years 3 – 6 we are very conscious of the pressure this is placing on some of our families, students and staff. We are continuing to plan for Term 4 despite the unknown. You will keep uploading all work and or tasks, on to ClassDojo. If you require a hard pack for your child/ren, please do not hesitate to contact our friendly staff in the office. Teachers are checking-in with students everyday before 10am. Stay connected and stay tuned for any updates. Be safe and know that you can call the school at any time for help, or if you have any questions.

I will be in touch with families, students and staff as soon further updates are provided.

Foundation 2022 Enrolments

All enrolment documents are available to download from our website. You may also contact the school and we can send the information to you via email or the post.

If you know of any families who are interested in enrolling, please ask them to contact the school. Thank you to our families who are getting the good word out in the community about our school, word of mouth is the most powerful form of advertising and consequently, we are fielding an increased number of inquiries about our school.

Unfortunately, until the health advice changes, we are unable to do school tours. Fingers crossed this changes soon.

First of September, Hats Remember!

Don’t forget when our students return on-site, they will need to wear their school hat. If your child’s hat is frayed or has writing on it, it will need to be replaced. ETRS hats can be purchased at the office for $10.

Community Connections Program

This week we have continued with our Community Connections Program with our local kindergartens. Normally we would be physically visiting kindergartens in person, however this time round we are doing this virtually via Webex. We have been sharing stories, singing songs and they have also had the privilege of meeting our school dogs Bernie and Frankie. This program will continue until the formal transition program begins in November.

Footy Colours Day

This coming Friday is Footy Colours Day. We encourage you to wear navy blue and red and sing the Melbourne Football Club theme song loudly! There are certainly many staff who will be wearing these colours on Friday – will you join the Melbourne FC army? If this does not whet your appetite, feel free to support any club of your choice. Our staff are organising a Footy themed activity day to support the upcoming AFL Grand Final.
