All the fun of the carnival!

We were blessed with a beautiful day and some keen competition at the St Anne's College Athletics Carnival on Thursday.

I would like to offer a huge congratulations to the attending and participating students. The atmosphere, competitiveness and sportsmanship shown throughout the day made this carnival a very enjoyable experience.

Restrictions forced upon us by COVID-19 regulations have meant that our young people have missed many opportunities to have fun in the company of each other, so it was satisfying to witness the amount of joy and good natured support that was on show yesterday.  Spontaneous chants, revving up of house mates and willingness to simply "have a go" were all hallmarks of our carnival and that is a culture worth building upon! We're not a big school but we can certainly make a lot of enthusiastic noise.

I would like to express my gratitude to all of our college staff for their efforts in setting up, running events, encouraging and supporting students and packing up at the end of the day.  These events are quite demanding, again, thank you.

Congratulations to Montessori on being the winning house and also to the following Year Level Champions -

Year 7 - Georgie Hanlon and Jaxan McDonald

Year 8 - Charli Hicks and Josh MacGibbon

Year 9 - Zoe Monteleone and Andre Renato

Hopefully our winners and placegetters will have an opportunity to compete at district and division level in the coming months.

Fashions on the (track and) field

Some of our School of Innovation students strutted their stuff on the 'trackwalk' at Thursday's Athletics Carnival in our Fashions on the Field. Full points to everyone for bringing so much joy to all of the students and staff!

Soccer cancelled this weekend

St Anne's Junior Soccer players will not be playing games on Saturday, August 20, as the Shepparton Junior Soccer Association has cancelled all games due to the current COVID cases in Shepparton.
