Principal's Report

Dear Parents and Families,

This week our concert rehearsals have been able to commence again. Students and teachers are enthusiastically preparing their acts. Costume details will be forwarded to you in the next two weeks. We aim to have the performance at school on the last Thursday of term. What format it will take depends on the Operational Guidelines at that time. As you are very aware, things change within a very short time frame. Thank you once again for all your support and patience.

Updated Operational Guidelines

  • No assemblies/ whole school or year level
  • Non-essential visitors are not permitted in the school building.
  • Masks to be worn when outdoors as well as in the buildings.
  • If you wish to pick up your students early, please ring the school and we will send them out to you.
  • Community use of school grounds can happen outside of school hours.
  • Sport in Schools can continue but no spectators/parents.

Father’s Day Stall

Our Father’s Day Stall will be held on Wednesday 1st September. Donations can be sent along to the school and placed in the basket outside the office. A basket will be placed at the front door to assist with collecting items.

Breakfast & Homework Club

Thursday 2nd September will be our first Breakfast & Homework Club. Initially we will be seeking expressions of interest so that we can organise supervision and food. A form is attached to the newsletter.

Parent Survey

Each year the school conducts an opinion survey amongst a sample of the school community. This year, a sample of approximately 30 per cent of parents/caregivers/guardians have been randomly selected and invited to participate. Results will be used to inform and direct our future school planning and improvement. For those people who have been selected I ask you to please take the time to complete the survey as your opinions are important to us and will contribute to the future management and organisation of our school.

  • The survey will be conducted online and should take 20 minutes to complete.
  • The survey closes this Sunday 22 August 2021.

Student Artwork

Throughout the school Mrs Serra consistently displays the students’ artwork. I am always amazed at the quality of the work they produce. The students in Grade 4 studied Vincent van Gogh’s,” Sunflowers.” They explored using ellipses to draw a vase then applied mixed media to create their own interpretation of the sunflowers.

Have a lovely weekend,

Regards Heather
