I cannot believe this is the last newsletter for 2022! What an incredible year it has been for everyone. Not only was it the first entire year at school since 2019, but it was also the first year at Karoo for many staff and 3/5 of the leadership team! It was also my first year as a Principal and I have thoroughly enjoyed my time and are so grateful to be in the role!!
We celebrated 30 Years of Education this year at Karoo by the most amazing Carnival. While it was such a pinnacle moment for the year, there were so many other fabulous memories for 2022. Some (there are way more than this) of these were:

30. The Carnival.....need I say more!
There were so many other wonderful things that happened over the year, maybe your family could list your top 30 as well!
We have achieved so much throughout the year but the biggest achievement of all has been our amazing students being at school almost everyday and getting back into a routine and understanding school expectations again. A huge thank you to our families for all of your support, kindness and understanding as we navigated our way through this year. I'm already looking forward to a fabulous 2023!!

To the families leaving Karoo PS, thank you for your commitment to our school over the years for which you have been a part of our wonderful community. Thank you for choosing us, and I wish you all the very best in your future endeavors.
Congratulations to the graduation class of 2022…
I am so proud of your achievements and the contribution you have made to our school. Throughout this year I have continued to be impressed by the achievement and growth you have all displayed. I certainly hope that you can look back on your time at Karoo PS as the foundation of your education journey - and fundamentally as a foundation for you as a person. I am confident that you will all embrace your new schools with eagerness and I look forward to reuniting when you come back and visit us.
As we move into the "big break" and Christmas holiday period, I wish you all a most relaxing and rejuvenating time together with family and friends. Thank you for supporting us throughout 2022 and in particular in my first year as Principal of Karoo Primary School.
We will see you for Day 1 Years 1-6 on Monday 30th January and for Foundation - Tuesday 7th February.
Until then stay safe and stay well!
Danielle Heatley
