Christmas Edition
Graduation was a wonderful event and I hope all of our parents and guests enjoyed the ceremony as much as we did. Mrs Dennehy cooked a spectacular two-course feast for students and staff for dinner and the students looked fabulous in their formal attire ready to be presented.
Congratulations year 6, on completing primary school. Your speeches about your primary school experiences were wonderful and heartfelt. I am sure you are all going to do amazing things at high school and beyond and the whole WMPS community wish you all the very best.
Please enjoy looking through these photos from the evening.
What a magical afternoon it was on Friday. Thank you to the parents and friends who came to help on the day with cooking the BBQ, set up and pack up.
Please enjoy these photos from the afternoon.
I am proud to announce that the following students will be our student leadership group next year.
School Captain - Estelle Joseph
School Vice Captain - Cora Mathys
SRC Leader - Emma Blackman Foster
Sports Captain - Jai Patel
Congratulations on being selected for these positions. I know you will do us proud in your respective roles. All of our year 6 students will play important leadership roles next year, under the guidance of the teachers and this student leadership group.
Welcome to Clare Ternes and Hollie Brown, both parents at our school, who will be stepping into the office administration job from the start of term 1. They will each work 2.5 days a week in the office. We welcome them to the staff team.
Thank you to everyone - students, staff, parents, helpers and visitors for making Waverley Meadows the wonderful community school that it is. I look forward to working with most of you again next year and look forward to more of the wonderful experiences and events that are in store for us in 2023.
The school office is open Tuesday 20th December until 12pm and will then close until the 27th January. For urgent business, you may contact me directly via email. The school email and phone message system will be unattended during the holidays.
School dates are posted on the Important Dates page. Be sure to add these to your 2023 diaries and calendars.
For those leaving us - year 6 graduates, students moving away, Mrs Shewring, Mrs McCulloch, Miss Evans, Sensei Masahiro and Mrs Lim - we wish you all the very best at high school, your new schools and your new adventures.
Have a wonderful festive season, stay safe, be kind and have fun!
See you next year!
