News from Year 6

Welcome to 2023!

Our year 6 class have settled in well to the routines of the 2023 school year and have been working together this week to develop class expectations, class motto, roles and responsibilities and also working on class wellbeing and getting to know you activities.

The first week of school has progressed quickly and already students have settled into a routine and have been reconnecting with their friends.

Leadership and Roles in the classroom

This year we are hoping to have our students play an active role in running small groups and being involved in a representative council as well as being responsible for areas within the school and classroom. This area of responsibility helps to lead our students towards being active leaders within our school and giving them skills for the future. We look forward to publishing the classroom and leadership roles in the next newsletter.

School Captains:

Last year at the final assembly it was announced that Spencer Lucas and Ruby Smith as the School Captains for 2023. We wish them well and congratulate them on their recognition for this role.
