Celebrating student work

Year 10- Food Studies- Food Truck Design Brief

Students developed a food product with a focus on creative and critical thinking. They were tasked with a brief asking them to develop innovative design solutions around a multicultural, fusion dish that could be served at a food truck festival. Students used randomised tools to research and generate innovative design options. Once they designed their product, they applied constraints to produce a prototype in our practical lesson. Their constraints included costing and working to a budget, creating a recipe based off their design and researching the skills, safety and equipment to create their dish. Students then conducted an evaluation on the process to determine how successful they were in meeting the end users criteria.  We saw lots of creative solutions and had a lot of fun in the process.
