Year 7 Girls Hockey
On Monday November 15th the year 7 Girls Hockey team travelled to Footscray Hockey Centre to compete in the State Finals. These finals pitch the 8 best teams in the State against each other. In extremely cold and wet conditions the girls participated with fantastic determination and enthusiasm. In our first match we played a really even and exciting game against Wangaratta College, losing 2-1. In our second match we came up against a much more experienced team from Blackburn Secondary College. However after being down 4-0 at half time we fought back to draw the second half 1 all. In our third match we were successful against Bendigo College 2-0. It was so great to see all the girls grow in confidence with each game.
A big thank you to Mr Saunders for his expert bus driving in challenging conditions.

Year 7 and 8 Girls Softball teams
On Thursday November 10th the year 7 and 8 Girls Softball teams travelled to the Waverley Softball Association grounds at Jells Park to compete in the State Finals. What an amazing achievement to have both age groups reach the pinnacle in the State Schools Victoria Competition. The year 8 girls narrowly lost their first game but batted and ran superbly to win their next two in convincing and exciting fashion. They finished the day in equal 3rd position. The year 7 girls played 4 matches winning two and losing two. They also finished in 3rd position. A huge congratulations to all involved. It’s been so pleasing to watch all the girls improve their skills and get such enjoyment out of playing the sport.
