Principal's Message

Mrs Kaileen Carr

2023 Kindergarten Transition - Welcome to all our new and existing families. Our 2023 Kindergarten are settling into new routines and having a taste of what big school will be like. They have been participating in a lot of exciting activities, making new friends and getting to know some of our teachers. We are looking forward to seeing all their smiling faces in 2023.

COVID 19 - We are currently experiencing a number of COVID 19 cases across our school. Students, staff and visitors should only attend school when they are symptom free. We strongly encourage all students, staff and visitors to follow the guidance issued by NSW HealthExternal link. We will continue to send home students or staff displaying symptoms.

Anyone who believes they have been exposed to COVID-19 is strongly recommended to monitor for symptoms and test if they have any concerns, as well as wear a mask. We will continue to support our families to use rapid antigen tests (RATs) if symptomatic or if you believe you have been exposed to COVID-19. RAT testing may help identify the infection early and is important if you are in contact with people at greater risk of serious illness if exposed to COVID-19.

Check in - Just a reminder if you are visiting our school for any reason please ensure you check in. This check in is not related to monitoring for COVID, it has now become our visitors register.  It is required for safety reasons in the event that we need to evacuate or lock down.

Presentation day - As we are getting closer to Presentation day please ensure your child has returned their permission note as we will be travelling by bus to and from Bathurst High. If your child needs to leave school early on that day we would like students to return to school on the bus and parents to pick them up from school when we return. There will be a lot of people at Bathurst High for our presentation day and the staff need to ensure the safety of all students and maintain their duty of care for your child.
