Welcome to 2023 at BSC!

Welcome to our 2023 school year! We hope everyone was able to have a relaxing and enjoyable break over Christmas and the New Year. It has been exciting to be back at school, particularly after the challenges we have had with COVID in recent times. It’s important for us to look forward with optimism for what we can achieve as individuals and as a whole school. 

We ran formal assemblies throughout last week at which we spoke about our school values with a focus on ‘High Expectations’. We acknowledge that things have been tough, and we will certainly be considerate of the fact that different people will have coped in different ways – not so hard for some and very difficult for others. However, we challenged all students and staff to ‘set the bar high’ and work towards being the ‘best versions of ourselves’. We covered a range of topics, such as; showing up – ready to learn (this includes being in full school uniform), pushing through challenges, engaging with our learning and each other, working hard, being good people, and seizing opportunities.
