Upcoming Learning:

During the next fortnight, students will be undertaking learning in the following areas:

SubjectLearning Focus
ReadingTo revise the concepts learnt this year through a variety of Christmas themed texts and activities.
WritingTo publish writing for my Writer's Gift.
MathsTo use our mathematical knowledge and skills to complete Christmas themed activities.
ScienceTo complete our STEM project with a focus on weathering and erosion of landforms.

Hillsmeade Step Up Day

Year 4 students will meet their 2023 teacher and classmates on Wednesday the 14th of December. Thank you to everyone who has already ordered the stationary packs. Students will bring these to school on their first day in 2023.

The Year 4 teachers would like to extend a big thank you for all the support from families throughout the year. It has been a great year full of many exciting moments and we hope they enjoyed the year as much as we did. Wishing everyone a safe and happy holidays!


Celebration of Learning:

The Year 4 students have been working on their notetaking skills while reading 'Birrung: The Secret Friend'. 

Crafternoons - We created triorama's based on settings from a Dr. Seuss book

STEM Project

The Year 4 students have worked hard this term, learning about landforms and the weathering and erosion that occurs. They have begun their STEM projects and will be sharing these in a mini expo in Week 11.
