Year 1 Update

Upcoming Learning

During the next fortnight, students will be undertaking learning in following areas:

Reading	Week 10 and 11- A range of Christmas themed texts, text responses and crafts. A review of skills we have developed this Term.
Writing	Week 10 and 11- We will be engaging in a range of holiday themed writing experiences, drawing on genres we have covered this term. Letter to elf, if I was a reindeer, I snuck into the North Pole and an elf daily journal.
Maths	Week 10 and 11- A range of Christmas themed numeracy activities that cover a range of learnt concepts, including shape, addition, subtraction, place value, pattern and ordinal number.

News and Reminders:

The Year 1 students had SO much fun at our colour run!
Please return any library books that you may have as soon as possible.
HILLSMEADE TRANSITION DAY
Year 1 students will meet in their 2023 classroom with their new teacher and classmates on Wednesday the 14th of December. Thank you to everyone who has already ordered the stationary packs. Students will bring these to school on their first day in 2023.
The Year 1 teachers would like to thank everyone for their support throughout 2022. We hope you have amazing and restful school holidays!
