Arts & Technology 2

Visual Arts News

What a successful year our students have had in their Arts and Technology classes, culminating in our annual Arts and Technology Showcase! Remote and flexible learning did not deter the creativity of students as they presented and exhibited a range of outstanding pieces and projects this year.

As was the case last year, due to the uncertainty of COVID-19 and the relevant restrictions, we decided to take things online and present our showcase virtually, reaching far and wide and maintaining a more permanent display of the creative works of students in 2021. You can view and explore the showcase at any time here: https://arts2021.scoresbysc.vic.edu.au/home

Local primary schools of Carrington Primary School, Knox Park Primary School, Ferntree Gully North Primary School, Mountain Gate Primary School and Scoresby Primary School jumped on board this year to join us in exhibiting artworks from a range of students and year levels.

As is an annual tradition, the People’s Choice voting commenced on the launch date of this year’s showcase and while the voting was tight, students just nudging each other out as each day progressed, we can proudly announce the overall winner, with a number of honorable mentions who were impressive in their votes also. A massive congratulations to all students who participated and received creative excellence awards as part of the People’s Choice.
