Orientation Day

Last week, Scoresby Secondary College welcomed our new Year 7 students who will begin their journey into secondary school in 2022. After a much- anticipated lead up, it was very exciting to meet our new students and introduce them to our community.

Students spent the day making new friends, familiarising themselves with the College and meeting some of their teachers for next year. They participated in a range of activities including goal setting, ice breaker games, cracking the timetable code, and a scavenger hunt.

A special thanks to following current Year 7 students who did a fantastic job representing our College and assisting with the College tour and the Q & A session: Cooper Tudor, Kj Brownlie, Harper Allan, Bek Howarth, Addi Jones, Molly Hunt and Tati Pignataro.

I would also like to acknowledge the enormous work undertaken by our Year 7 Coordinator, Mr Sam Eddy, and his tremendous efforts in putting together such a wonderful day.

Additionally, thank you to Ms Kathleen Shirer, Ms Erin O’Sullivan, Mrs Michele Rogers and Mrs Carol Perryman for their assistance on the day.

End of Year Program

In the last week, all students have participated in a number of activities as part of our End of Year Program. Some of these workshops included: cooking, Christmas wood-making decorations, Christmas decorations (to be delivered to Arcare), numerous sporting activities to keep our students fit and active, and a variety of other hands-on activities. It has been fantastic to see our students end the year on a positive note and challenge themselves in a variety of different ways.

Holiday break

The Junior School team would like to extend our warmest well wishes to our students, families and wider community for the upcoming Christmas break. With what has certainly been a challenging year, we hope that everyone can have a safe and wonderful break and an opportunity to rejuvenate ready for next year.
