COVID Safe School
A reminder to everyone of some of our COVID safe practices to ensure we start the year in a smooth and safe manner.
Air purifiers have now arrived at the school and have been placed across classrooms and work spaces to sanitise the air and reduce any airborne contaminants that may infect people with COVID-19.
Rapid Antigen Testing is expected to be completed by each student and staff member twice per week. The first delivery of Rapid Antigen Tests arrived at Beaufort Secondary College last week and will be available again during the week starting 14th February.
Ways you can reduce the spread of COVID-19:
- Stay home if unwell.
- Practise good hygiene.
- We have hand sanitisers all around our school and extra cleaning products in each room.
- Regular Rapid Antigen Testing.
- Physical distancing of 1.5 metres.
- Face masks – in line with the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS):
- all people aged 12 and over must wear a fitted face mask when in public indoor spaces unless there is a lawful reason not to,
- bus travellers are required to wear a mask when making their way to and from school on the bus, and
- visitors to school sites must also wear masks when indoors.
Mobile Phones
Just a kind reminder about Beaufort Secondary College’s mobile phone policy. If students choose to bring their phone to school our expectation is that they will leave it at the Office in the morning and pick it up after school.
Mobiles phones are not permitted to be used during class time or at recess or lunch. Should you need to get an urgent message to your child, parents are invited to call the General Office and the message will be delivered to your child immediately.
We thank our families and students for supporting our mobile phone policy so that our students can make the most of their learning at Beaufort Secondary College.
School Canteen
Our school canteen has a range of delicious food and drink choices for recess and lunchtime. Orders can be placed at the canteen or online.
Our school canteen has made a change of companies for their online ordering system. Orders will no longer be able to be placed with Ultimate Schools due to them having to shut down their business.
We are now using Flexischools as a way of ordering online for the school canteen.
How to set up the Flexischools App:
- Download the Flexischools App on the Apple App Store or Google Play for Android (see below for links).
- 'Register' a new user, provide student email, add new student, search for Beaufort Secondary College, enter student details, then select class.
- Automatic top-ups to make ordering fast and simple can be done through 'user profile'.
How to order through the App:
- On the App's home screen, scroll down to view services. This is where the canteen ordering system can be found.
- Make a selection and press 'order'.
- Select a payment option and complete the order.
