Welcome 

Nadine Power, PFA President

 

Welcome to the 2022 school year. I hope this year provides some relief from the challenges presented by COVID-19, and we can get together once again to create and strengthen relationships and continue the strong community spirit Kilvington is known for. 

 

I hope you have all had the chance to relax and recharge over the summer break and have settled well into new classes and schedules. I also hope you are excited about upcoming PFA events and activities and opportunities. These occasions range from social events throughout the year to volunteering for an event or task, and present great opportunities to get to know the wider Kilvington community. 

 

There is always a lot going on, so please reach out to Community Relations Officer, Bianca Lapins via lapinsb@kilvington.vic.edu.au if you have any questions, ideas or feedback.  

 

2002 PFA EXECUTIVE  

We are delighted to announce the new PFA Executive Committee for 2022.  

  • President: Nadine Power 
  • Treasurer: Julie Connolly 
  • Secretary: Wendy McManamny 

The Junior School Vice-President and Senior School Vice-President positions are still open and need to be filled. These are important roles that support the President and work closely with the Class Social Representatives (CSRs) and staff to create connection and cohesion across the School.

CSRs 

Thank you to all those who have volunteered to be a CSR for your cohort this year. The first meeting will be held online via Microsoft Teams on Wednesday 23 February. There are still spaces available for some year levels. If you would like to join the CSR team, please sign up here.  

ELC and Junior School Picnic 

All ELC and Junior School families are warmly invited to a picnic on the PVC Lawn, Senior School on Friday 4 March from 5.00 - 7.00pm.  

 

There will be a complimentary sausage sizzle and activities for the students. It’s a great opportunity to catch up with friends and make some new ones! BYO drinks, picnic, rug/chairs and hats.

Sign-Ups 

Sign-ups are open for the ELC and Junior School Picnic on Friday 4 March. If you can spare some time to assist with the sausage sizzle, icy poles or other tasks, please let us know via the link here.   

 

You will also find sign-ups for the Kilvington Cares Food Program, the Kilvington Craft Group and the Secondhand Uniform Shop (SHUS).  

SHUS 

A big thank you to the SHUS team for the two sales days already conducted this year. The next opening will be on Saturday 5 March from 9.00 – 11.00am in Dalton Hall. 

 

Details on how to book an appointment will be posted on KCEE.  

Staff Thank You Morning Tea

We are hopeful the Thank You Morning Tea for our wonderful staff will go ahead on Wednesday 2 March. 

 

Details will be posted on KCEE if we are able to proceed. Get your baking hats ready and stay tuned for more information.  

Crafting group

The Kilvington Crafting Group is hosting a social get together to brainstorm ideas and plan activities for the coming year. Please join us for drinks and delicious nibbles at our welcome back social event. All creative minds welcome - from ideas people to total beginners to old hats.

Time: 3.00 - 5.00pm  

Venue: Local café/bar TBC
