Winner of sneaker design competition 

Towards the end of last year, Georgia Volakakis (Year 10 in 2021) entered a competition to design a pair of sneakers for Merchant 1948.

Entries were received from all over the world, so we were thrilled to hear that Georgia came first place with her design; inspired by the idea of the sun and warmth and the 2021 Olympics. The sunflower features in the Olympic bouquet and is a symbol of hope.
