Clothes Recycling at Kingswood

If you have been watching the 'War on Waste' on ABC, you might have seen the episode about 'fast fashion' and the terrible impact it is having on our environment. Australians throw out 6,000kg of clothes and textiles every 10 minutes. That's crazy! If you haven't seen the 'War on Waste', all of the episodes are available on the ABC iview website here:

Episode 3 is about clothes. 

The Green Team discussed this issue in our lunchtime club and decided that we need to do something to help solve this problem. We already have a clothes recycling bin in the hall foyer and the clothes we collect are sent to Africa.

But we haven't had many donations recently so we made a video and took some photos to remind everyone that if you have any clothes that are too big, too small, too baggy, unfashionable or too colorful we can recycle them all!
