Community Helper inquiry topic.

As part of the Preps Community Helper inquiry topic, students talked about which Community Helper they would like to be when the grow up and had to justify their reasons why.

You can see a display of their work outside the classrooms. 

Jasper in Prep C has decided that when he grows up he would like to work in an office, his reasoning gave all of us in the office a good laugh. 

To get a head start on his career he very politely asked if he could start work experience in the office at lunchtime. He has performed duties including cutting and filing receipts, sorting mail, delivering messages to teachers, making PA announcements, greeting visitors to our school and practised proper phone etiquette when answering internal phone calls.

As an extra challenge, Jasper was asked to write an article for the newsletter.  Jasper assisted with the typing and editing of the final product.

Jasper Prep C

In Prep C, we are learning where to put full stops and capital letters. In Prep R, I learnt counting backwards. In Prep B, we are making maps of our comunity. School is the best!
