Reconciliation Cup

On Thursday 31st May, Mr Le Cornu and Mrs Patten took a junior mixed Touch and senior mixed Touch team to Ted Scobie Oval, Collina to compete in the Reconciliation Cup.

The day was an opportunity to unite the local high schools with a message of acceptance and awareness for all cultures.

Reconciliation Cup involved a Touch Football competition, speeches from local indigenous speakers and traditional food.

I was pleased with the attitude, effort, maturity and sportsmanship of our students. Whilst, we did not win the Cup, all of our games were very competitive, with some very close scores in what was a very strong Touch Football competition.

I am also very grateful to Mrs Patten and Mr Le Cornu for giving up their time to make the day a success for our students.

Regards

Mr J Seers

Reminder that any student who has not yet received a note for BISSA Athletics must see Mr Seers at the beginning of next week.
