Around The Primary

Dear Parents

It has been another productive and busy week around the Primary school.

This week we celebrated two important feast days in the Church calendar -  All Saints Day and All Souls Day.

Special thanks to Ms Ilich and Year 1B for preparing a beautiful mass in honour of all the saints and to Fr Rodrigo for sharing his wonderful words about saints. Our students were reverent throughout the liturgy and prayed together for all the saints who have inspired us, especially St Ignatius Loyola and St John XXIII. We were also reminded to keep in our prayers the souls of Christians who have died during the month of November.

In preparation for next year, we invite all Year 4 parents to join us for an information session regarding the use of iPads and Digital Technologies in the curriculum. We hope all Year 4 parents will be able to attend this important session on Wednesday 22 November at 9am in the Lecture Theatre. More information will follow.

Just a reminder, all students from Pre Primary - Year 2 will be involved in daily swimming lessons at Claremont Pools from Monday 20 November to Friday 1 December. Details will be sent home shortly.

Kind Regards

Antoinette De Pinto

Around the World

This week the Year 5’s began their culinary journey in North America - first stop, Mexico! The students made tacos to experience Mexico’s delicious flavours, spices and fresh corn tortillas. Left overs were delivered to the Office staff who scored the tacos 10/10 for taste, presentation and authenticity. The next stop on the Year 5 journey is the home of the maple syrup, Canada!
