Around the K-4 Classrooms

Thank you to all the parents who came to parent interviews last week. Teachers valued the opportunity to have a conversation about children in their classes.

In NAIDOC Week Mr Green visited the Kinder Rubies. They enjoyed hearing about Aboriginal culture and making dot paintings.

Year 1 Sapphires have started a waste management system to deal with rubbish in the K-4 area. They are encouraging children to sort rubbish into a soft plastics bin, a recycling bin for clean paper and card and a general rubbish bin. They are doing a great job of monitoring the bins in each break and educating children in K-4 on caring for the environment.

Year 2 Opals and Year 3 Pearls are combining to present an item in our Week 9 Assembly on Monday September 11 at 11.30 am.

Year 3 Pearls and Emeralds and Year 4 Diamonds are using their weekly sport period to learn dance this term. They are hoping to work with Mr Brown, our specialist Physical Education teacher, to do some gymnastics in the near future.
