Wellbeing Carnival
It is finally here – the long awaited Mental Health Carnival, 2022, at Ringwood Secondary College school grounds, next week, on Tuesday 8th March.
We are thrilled to be able to provide the students of Ringwood Secondary College with this fabulous and exciting event, with some limited amusements, multiple stalls, food trucks, music, animals, games, competitions and activities designed to bring a school wide focus to Mental Health, and support our students to build their happiness, health and wellbeing in order to reach their full learning potential.
The dress-theme for this year’s carnival is ‘Get Your Groove On’ – students can come dressed for the day as their favourite musician, band member, music artist or dance genre, rock idol – think disco, flamenco, hop-hop star, rap artist, punk, indie rock, Bollywood, 80s glam rock, country and western, David Bowie, Lady Gaga, Elvis, Madonna. The more flamboyant, the better. There will be prizes for Best Dressed (students and teachers!). Feel free to get friends together and come as your favourite band/group in the hope of taking out the prize!!!!!!!
Please, we ask students to use their good judgement, and not wear ‘inappropriate” skimpy or revealing clothing, open toed-shoes, short mini-skirts, plunging necklines, obscene or offensive slogans - come dressed for active, respectful, physical fun!
Entry for rides will be $2 for Years 9-12, and FREE for Years 7 & 8. There will be food and drinks and merchandise available for purchase, (cash only), so please send some cash for students to buy some treats.
We can’t wait, and are counting down the sleeps to next Tuesday!!!!
