Performing Arts
Things are heating up in the Performing Arts Centre this year with so many opportunities for our students to get involved and experience performing at many levels. The year 7 Instrumental Music recruitment night was extremely popular and it was amazing to see show many students interested in learning a musical instrument.
Our Performing Arts prefects have burst into Term 1 with musical theatre workshops for year 7 – 9 and music prefects have presented outdoor lunchtime performances for “TunesDay” on Tuesdays.
Coming up next will be a students led Drama Club run at a lunch time! Thank you to the students and the staff who have supported them.
Rehearsals for the State School spectacular are underway and RSC is represented this year with great enthusiasm, we wish all students involved a wonderful experience and we can’t wait to see the final product.
Auditions for our yearly production (which has a funny title this year) “Urinetown: The Musical” are coming up soon and students in years 9 -12 are encouraged to sign up for what will be an unforgettable and truly unique experience.
You can find out more about this quirky show at our production website http://www.rscproduction.com.au/

I hope students realise how lucky they are to have so many opportunities to get involved in performing arts at RSC. Keep an eye out for our production cast announcement and other opportunities to get involved in the coming months.
