Basketball update!

The year 5/6 Bulls team were quite dominant in their basketball match on Friday.

Recognising that the opposing team needed support, our players sacrificed their own personal accolades and willingly gave the ball to the other team to have a go at shooting.

Back in Term 3 2021, the Bulls had been that struggling team starting out who needed support and encouragement. All their hard work is paying off and they are now strong role models; playing well and also demonstrating sportsmanship and encouragement of others.

Well done to the Bulls for demonstrating the school values of Respect and Fairness.

Athletics

This year we took a smaller group to the SAPSASA Athletics day, we had nineteen students representing the school, their behaviour was fantastic and their encouragement for each other was outstanding. We had a number of students who performed extremely well with three students being selected to represent Port District at State Day.  Well done to Kien Tran, Oscar Thou and Patience Shaw.

Some notable performances were,

Bilala Mohamed 2nd in 800 Metres.

Kien Tran 1st in shot Put and 1st in Discus.

Oscar Thou 2nd in High Jump, 2nd in the 200 Metres and 3rd in the 100 Metres.

Lac Nguyen 3rd in Shot Put and 4th in Discus.

Hailey Smith Maigler 4th in Long Jump.

Patience Shaw 4th in 100 Metres and 4th in 200 Metres.

Campbell Woolford 3rd in 200 Metres

Mamadu Jallloh 4th in 200 Metres.

Well done to all who tried out and participated to the best of the ability on the day.
