From the Principal

Dear Families,

Thank you for supporting parent interviews and taking the opportunity to connect with your child's teacher this term.

At our Governing Council AGM on 23rd March we were pleased to elect quite a full Governing Council.:

Mirsia Bunjaku (Chair)

Cheyenne Haskell (Deputy Chair)

Anna Sanjeevi (Treasurer)

Thi Reth Kim (Community Rep)

Stella Franze ,  Aditya Radhakrishnaja,  Sheralee Haskell  and  Rita Howard, parent representatives. We also thank Amy Habibovic (Secretary) and Tamsin Dickeson for supporting Governing Council as school staff.

Parent perspectives on the way we lead the school are very important to us and if you are interested in joining the Governing Council as a parent representative to have your say then please let us know at the Front Office or by emailing us (dl.1904.admin@schools.sa.edu.au) for details of the next Governing Council meeting in Week 4, Term 2.

As we round of a challenging term we would like to warmly invite families and caregivers to join us on Monday 11th April (last week of term) for an outdoor assembly. Please join us in the main yard (limited seating provided) for a short showcase of our music and arts program. We will have a coffee van on site (Bean there done that!) in case the colder weather is kickimg in. See you there!

Before and after school safety

Just a reminder that we provide yard supervision before school from 8.30am. We have noticed that some students are arriving increasingly early in the mornings to engage in soccer and basketball before school. We have had to make the decision to have no ball games before school as this may pose a risk prior to yard duty. Students are to be supervised on site by parents if arriving early. We also have an OSHC service for before school (and after school) care. Thank you for your co operation.

Thank you to those parents who are using the crossing on Ridley Grove to model safe behaviour with their children rather than crossing between parked cars. While we are not responsible for safe behaviours outside of the school grounds we provide staff duty supervision where we can and really appreciate parent support in ensuring that our children and young people transition safely to and from school.
