Senior Boys and Girls Volleyball

On Friday 11th March, the Senior Volleyball teams went out to represent our College against other schools in Wyndham. With the long weekend approaching, it took a lot of energy drinks, snake lollies and pep talks to get the team up and going. After 4 weeks of training during lunchtimes and afterschool, TSC looked set for a good result on the day. The boys played the first match of the day, cruising past Good News College in straight sets. This was shortly followed by the girl’s team making short work of Suzanne Cory. As the day progressed, students continued to keep spirits up and get around each other with the added motivation of some past students coming to watch. The boys ended the day finishing 3rd, with their only defeat coming from Suzanne Cory who ended up taking 1st place on the day. 

However the story of the day came from our Girls team who went undefeated on the day and took out the final against G-range! After losing the first set, the girls regrouped and took on some feedback from their superstar coach, Daniel, and won the 2nd set. From here it was business as usual, with the Girls taking out the 3rd and final set and bringing home the gold!

As a coach, Daniel is extremely proud of all of their efforts and appreciates the time and dedication they showed towards their training in the lead up to the comp. They represented our College with integrity, sportsmanship and teamwork and we wish good luck to our Girls in the next round!
