Five Questions - Staff

In today’s edition of ‘Five questions- Staff’ we thought it was a nice opportunity to get to know three of our fantastic integration aides a little more. Thank you Jad, Nat and Chey for your sharing your answers to the following questions:

The questions:

  1. If you could relive one holiday from your past today, what would it be?
  2. Are you allergic to any food/s?
  3. What was your first part-time job?
  4. When did you last go on an aeroplane and where did you go?
  5. Can you give a shout out to one teacher whose class you love to be a part of?

Jad

1. I would love to go back to England. So many beautiful old buildings, villages and castles to explore.

2. Nope! All food is good…except maybe brussel sprouts, which are…less good.

3. I worked in the Delicatessen of a family owned supermarket.

4. I flew to Adelaide in October 2018 for my niece’s wedding.

5. Hmm…just one teacher? That’s difficult, because so many deserve a shout out, but if I had to narrow it down, it would be Mr Coady or Ms Todd. Both for the same reason…

Nat

  1. Vietnam with my husband and 3 kids….such an amazing place!
  2. I have no allergies.
  3. My first part time-time job was a deli at Chirnside Park when I was 15. I cut the top of my thumb off on the meat slicer.
  4. Cairns last July.
  5. Mr Coady. His classes are so engaging and full of enthusiasm, and he’s a pretty cool dude!

Chey

  1. Most definitely my trip to Europe in 2010, I was able to take three months unpaid leave and visited Italy (Rome, Tuscany and Venice) , London in UK, Slovenia (Bled), Ireland (Dublin) and Germany (Berlin, Munich and Hamburg) I would visit any of these places again in a heartbeat! If I had to choose one I think I'd like to explore Ireland some more as I was only there for about a week.
  2. Sadly allergic to dairy, especially cheese, thankfully the rise in Vegan cheese popularity means I can finally have 'cheese' without suffering.
  3. My first part time job was working at Lenard's Chicken in a shopping centre up in Darwin. I did food prep and customer service.
  4. My last trip on a plane was January 2020 when I flew to NZ for my oldest friend's wedding, thankfully this was before the pandemic shut everything down.
  5. He's only new this year, but I really enjoy Mr Cross's art class. As a former art student myself, I love all kinds of art and the way he has given his students the opportunity to explore the art styles and mediums that is most inspiring to them. It is wonderful to be part of.
