Wellbeing

We have well and truly hit the ground running in Student Wellbeing this year. It's great to see the students returning onsite, but we know that this transition has been really challenging for some. We have a great team onboard for 2022 and we look forward to bringing school wide positive changes as well as supporting our vulnerable students.

Our GP and nurse have returned to face to face consultations in the Student Health Hub as part of Department of Education’s Doctors in Secondary Schools (DiSS) program. Our hub operates on Tuesdays from 9:30 am till 1:30 pm and is available only to students. I have been so impressed by the number of young people who are accessing this incredibly convenient service and are really taking some ownership over their health and well  being. If you would like to learn a little bit more about how the program works please be sure to have a look at the links below.

Our Year 9 Farm School program has also recommenced with ten eager students heading off for their first day in the program. I look forward to bringing you more stories and pictures from the farm school in the coming months. This really is an incredible program and opportunity for our students to try something new and fun.

We are no doubt in for another busy year assisting and supporting our students, staff and families. We will endeavour to use Connections as a way for you to get to know us and what we do a little better, as well as a means of communication for many health and wellbeing resources and programs.
