Term 2, Week 2, Kevin Kennedy

Dear Families,

NAPLAN

Many of you are aware that this week our school and schools around Australia will be undergoing NAPLAN testing. NAPLAN assesses literacy and numeracy skills that students are learning through their regular school curriculum.

It is a useful snapshot of a child’s learning and more broadly can assist the school to identify what areas are being taught well and also areas for improvement. Please reassure your child that this is no cause for stress or anxiety, staff will do their best to ensure the assessments are conducted in safe and supportive environment.

Fundraising

The fundraising committee is running a Bunnings (Airport) sausage sizzle fundraiser on Saturday 29th May, 10:30am to 4:30pm .  We are looking for volunteers to help out on the day. Money raised will be used for the continual improvement of the schools facilities such as the pool redevelopment which is starting this term. If you are interested please let me know or add your name to the sign in sheet located in the front office.
